Speech 1: Tabea, 11e
Hi everyone, I’m Tabea. As yet another representative of the 11e in accordance to our project “Fashion Revolution”, I think that it is highly important to spread the word about the cause itself.
To summarize this briefly, the very first Fashion Revolution week took place on the 24th to 30th of April 2013. The week is used to encourage people to question the brands that make their clothes and what journey the clothes might have encountered along the way. Currently, there is a large difficulty in the world of fashion. With the emergence of the Fashion Revolution, different brands and retailers continually are challenged to take responsibility for their actions – for the individuals that their businesses so greatly depend on.
Insgesamt 19 Schüler/-innen aus den Klassen 7 und 8 der NMS fuhren zum Deutsch-polnischen Theater-, Kunst- und Foto-Workshop nach Morawa, Polen.
Am ersten Abend gab es ein Kennenlernen mit den Schüler/-innen der polnischen Partnerschule. Alle Schüler/-innen wurden in sieben gemischte Gruppen (dt./pol.) aufgeteilt, die sich dann später selbst vorstellen mussten.
To mark Fashion Revolution Week , the non-profit organization Future Fashion Forward (FFF) presented their workshop ‘Do clothes grow on trees?’ on Wednesday, 26 April 2017, to young textile explorers in Flex A. During the interactive workshop the kids showed great interest in examining different fibers and their characteristics with different experiments such as a water absorbency, flame and a crease recovery test. They explored the benefits and drawbacks of the fibers and their resources in regards to sustainability and learned about the stories of the people who help making our clothes.
Am Sonnabend, 22.04.2017, fanden im Olympischen Reiterstadion und auf dem Maifeld die Final-Läufe statt. Insgesamt starteten aus 12 Berliner Bezirken 1262 Schülerinnen und Schüler an diesem Tag. Dabei wurden durch unsere Schüler*innen starke, teils herausragende sportliche Leistungen gezeigt. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
Dieses Mal gewann von unserer Schule Lilli Gramann aus der 6b den Vorlesewettbewerb beim Bezirksentscheid für Wilmersdorf-Charlottenburg. Am 17. Mai 2017 wird sie gegen die Gewinner/innen der anderen Bezirke von Berlin antreten.
Am 5. April 2017 schlug sich Lilli erfolgreich gegen neun andere Kinder aus anderen Schulen des Bezirks! Auch Millie, die letztes Jahr gewonnen hatte, saß in der Jury.
On March 17 2017, 104 students (from all year 8 classes) and 10 teachers traveled to Austria to ski for a week at Hochzillertal, one of the greatest ski resorts in Europe. After a fairly relaxing overnight-ride with the coach we arrived in Münster, Austria, early on Saturday morning. The hostel was a different one this year with better rooms and in a more romantic location away from downtown Münster (and the supermarket). It took a while to get the rooms sorted, 110 pairs of skis and boots rented, luggage unpacked before students and teachers went on the famous geomorphological hike along the spurs of the alps. On Sunday morning, skiing lessons started and went on until Friday, March 24.
