Room: D200

My name is Sophia Calligaro and I’ve been working at the Nelson-Mandela-School in a flex class as an educator since 2015. Since August 2018 I have the role of Social Worker (Sozialpädagoge). I graduated with a MA Arts - Social Work degree in 2008 from the Katholische Hochschule für Sozialwesen Berlin (KHSB). I have lived and worked in Australia and then moved to Liguria/Italy to a little idyllic place by the sea.
My mother tongues are German and Italian and I speak English fluently.

It is especially important to me that our students learn to develop themselves, to recognise
their strengths and to expand and pursue their interests.

Consultation hours:
Tuesday 2:35-4:15 (please make an appointment)
Wednesday 8:00-9:30 (open)
Friday 8:45-9:30 (please make an appointment)

My name is Milan Zimmermann. I have been working since August 2015 as a student in a dual course of study at Nelson Mandela School campus P23. My area of study is ‘Social Work/Social Pedagogy’ with a focus on “all day schools”. When I started at the Nelson Mandela School I was working as an Educator covering classes in grades 5 and 6 and with a team on the “Ganztagsetage”. My first language is German but I speak English fluently.

Before working at the Nelson Mandela School I worked as a freelancer and as a volunteer with young people in youth work. Holiday camps for integration were my personal passion during this time.

I expect to be finished with my studies in February 2019 with a bachelor degree in ‘Social Work/Social Pedagogy’ and an official qualification as a Social Worker.
