A personal note on the death of Nelson Mandela
We have all been aware that the time was soon to come when we would learn about the death of South Africa's first black president. The day has arrived, and we feel the pain and sadness about the loss of one of the most eminent moral figures of our time without any alleviation.
As a school community, we feel grateful for the great honor of having Nelson Mandela as our namesake. His legacy of perseverance, integrity, forgiveness and modesty will continue to be our inspiration.

Primary School
The Primary celebrated the life of Nelson Mandela on Friday, 06 December 2013. Hundreds of notes were written and put up on the wall next to the large Nelson Mandela picture. A wide and colorful display honors this wonderful man, with pupils expressing their sorrow about his death but also gratitude for his life and what he meant for South Africa and the rest of the world. In honor of Madiba, one class created a collage of the South African flag which hangs in the entrance next to his image. We will keep him in our hearts and minds and will remember his words: “Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world.”
